If we sell Dzeko then who the fuck is going to score goals away from home? Just a thought.

Well Negredo did yesterday and Edin didn't. Just a thought.

Negredo is what I call a homer, his strike rate at home is far better than away, Aguero has improved this season but he's out injured. Dzeko conversely has scored most of his away (30 out of his 50 goals away).

Aguero's not dead mate, he's coming back in a couple of weeks!

I'd hardly judge Negredo as a homer after half a season in England. He's actually performed well in half of his away games.

Dzeko was anonymous yesterday, I didn't notice he was even playing for the 1st 10mins, when you need a player to step up when the rest of the team needs a lift, he wasn't it yesterday, not entirely his fault , with no Yaya or Nasri to help out a sparse midfield which contained Garcia, we were always going to struggle

That first bolded sentence contradicts the second one.

Well you reserve judgement on Negredo until more than just one half season, but in the previous post you judge him based on just one performance.

Noise means you made a judgement in the 2nd part of your sentence. "He's actually performed well in half of his away games"
Don't get me wrong - I like Negredo/Aguero and Dzeko gives us a plan B.

I wasn't judging him on his performance, I was just stating that he was the one who scored away from home yesterday. I've said he wasn't good yesterday actually if you care to check. :)

NEGREDO:
Premier League ( AWAY games )
553min/per goal (1) / 1 goal in 6 + full games /
Champions league ( AWAY games )
96min/ 0 goals
DZEKO:
Premier league: ( AWAY games )
205,5min/per goal (2)
Champions league: ( AWAY games )
189min/per goal (1)

Carling cup AWAY ( Dzeko 3 goals, Negredo 1 goal ); FA cup AWAY ( Dzeko 0 goals, Negredo 1 goal ).
Out of Dzekos 50 City goals. 30 are in away games. It is one of best away/home goals ratio ever.
As for home games. Negredo was great and better than Dzeko. It is understandable that many in here would play Negredo in home and Dzeko in away PL games.

I HAVEN'T DISPUTED ANY OF THAT FOR FUCKS SAKE

This really is a fine example of the Dzeko thread, comment on Negredo scoring away from home yesterday, get a load of statistics thrown in your face.

I cant believe so many of you waste so much time hating Dzeko so much when bottom line is he's our 3rd choice striker. He helped us win both the fa cup and league tittle. He stays fit . And he wants to be here and be successful for us. Get afucking life seriously!!!!!

Can't think of many better 3rd choice strikers in the Premiership.
There have been some occasions in the past when it has looked as if his heart wasn't 100% in it but I think he has responded well to MP's methods and has been a useful replacement for Aguero recently.
Unfairly maligned by too many here.

Well I do not agree. He did not responded well to managers methods. His desire is leading some of great european teams and be theirs main man. HE can only be "tricked" to stay if given enough PL games. Dzeko had more than once said that he wants to play. He said to BBC that he WANT to play games and will NEVER be super sub. ( there is video clip on youtube, posted here also ). He also have said 40,50 days ago that he do not understand why have Pellegrini benched him just after three games and that he wants to play PL games. And that Carling cups and CL are not enough. ( 10 days ago link was posted here ).
The problem is, as some moderators have said over here. If I remember correct even 1 year before. He would be GREAT third striker. But he had publicly said more than once that he does not want to. I predict when Aguero come back. This manager will bench him instead of Negredo and it could be the last straw.
You all should ask your self. Why would anybody wanted from Arsenal, Inter, Milan, Chelsea, Dortmund, Valencia now and many great clubs 1,2 years ago would agree to be bench player. If he would be starter there or probably play a lot more important role than here.
Reason why I am wasting my time here is. Because I would really like that Dzeko stays in best league in the world. Pellegrini would not dare to allow him to go to Arsenal or Chelsea. So there is only City. Bundesliga or Serie A are not so attractive. And Dzeko is good enough for PL and deserves it. As some posters here have said. Put him in Arsenal or Chelsea and watch them win the league. It is true. He is not Solskjaer. He is better than him. And Solskjaer was the best of third strikers ever.
The only solution I see. Is to play Negredo in home PL games. And Dzeko in away PL games with Aguero playing home and away if fit. Dzeko being great in away games. And Negredo being much worse in away than his home games. Should help. And if it was done from the start this year. City would probably be first in PL allready. Liverpool needs strong bench and will not be as good as City. At least not this year. United have problems with new manager. Chelsea and Arsenal have HUGE problem of having just one "inform" striker. And that one striker is worse than Citys third. This serious flaws of opponents should allready been used to Citys advantage. But it was not the case.

we've been over this before, dzeko started v Cardiff, Aston villa and neither started against Chelsea. since then we've won 4 drawn 1 and lost 1 away from home.

What are you talking about ?? Since Chelsea PL AWAY games were:
Sunderland : City 1:0 ( Negredo started, Dzeko bench, City have lost )
WBA - City 2:3 ( Dzeko started , Negredo bench, City have won )
Southampton - City 1:1 (Negredo started, Dzeko bench, City have drawn )
Fullham - City 2:4 ( Both Dzeko, Negredo have started, City have won )
Swansea - City 2:3 ( Both Dzeko, Negredo have started, City have won )

Your information were absolutely not correct. And just to remember you.

so dzeko has two away goals and negredo has one, what about assists?

I haven't seen a great deal of hatred for Dzeko. What normally happens is that people comment when he's played poorly and a few (mostly Bosnian) posters jump to his defence by quoting reems of statistics to prove he's one of the best strikers in the world and then there follows the same ridiculous arguments which end up with his defenders accusing people of hating him which patently isn't true (with one or two exceptions). I think it's the people who appear to spend most of their time looking for statistics to back up their arguments that he's great need to get a fucking life.

Out of 3 Negredos away from home goals. Ironically. Two of this three Negredos goals where assisted by Dzeko. Against Newcastle Carling cup and Blackburn Rovers FA cup. And they seems to work good together.

were talking about pl, don't change the subject, so you think dzeko isn't starting enough away pl games, but as you've just pointed out, he's started something like 8/10 away games this season.
