I still can't believe there are people doubting Dzeko.

He's Shaun Goater (he used to play for City before 2010 for the Bosnians amongst you).

Crap player, scores goals. Some people like him for his goals, other people say he's a crap player and we can do better so they don't like him.

The debate will rage on with Dzeko as it did with Goater.

That's just it though, he's nowhere near as crap as many would have you believe. His first touch isn't as good as Silva's but who's is? Dzeko's first touch is supposed to score goals, and that it does plenty. Of 26 of his goals last season 22 came from his first touch, those goals are unstoppable as they happen in a blink of an eye.

He's spent most of his career at City not playing at 100% match fitness due to heavy rotation and I feel is being unfairly judged because of it.

He's a beast of a player in his specialized role, and his role is number 9.

Thats just it !! He doesn`t play as a number 9,aka Alan Shearer !! He spends too much time time out on the flanks and when either the full backs or AN Other puts a ball over,he can`t be arsed busting a gut to get on the end,otherwise he could score 20+ goals a season.

Dzeko`s main weakness is sulkiness when things don`t do his way.Shoulders drooped,feigning injury,arms outstretched and whinging to refs,always blames his boots,blah,blah,blah.

Goals he can score.Attitude could be the difference between a proven goalscorer and a higher calibre centre forward in the mould of Shearer,Ferdinand,Fowler,Andrew Cole (yes you heard it right),Andy Gray,Alan Smith,Osgood,Mariner,Dougan,Henry,even that dirty bastard from Bolton ... Davies !!
Notice the similarities ?? Of course not.They all put a 100% shift in EVERY GAME,not when they could be arsed.

When he goes to the flanks it's to help create chances.. and shake off his marks, the very thing he gets criticized for not doing. Sulking? Is he not allowed to feel frustrated? It's funny you mention it, because how many times has he saved us from a loss by his super sub appearances? He was perfectly happy to jump in and help the team win on each of those occasions. I don't remember sulking getting in the way.

When Jovetic, Aguero and Negredo all went missing due to injuries in January who stepped up and provided the all important goals to win us the league? Did he sulk then?

12 goals since January, some of the most important goals of the campaign. If this was any other player he would be put on a pedestal.

This is the problem, I pull people up when they're bullshitting about the lad, and then it comes across to all the Bosnian's that I hate him. If you look through all my posts on this thread I've only criticised him about 3 times.

So just to clarify for the 20th time, I like Edin, he's a good lad and gets goals. There was however one time in January last year when I truly wanted him sold.
