Edin or Mario?

Mario.

When he's at his best he's almost untouchable. Dzeko could be easily replaced by any number of strikers.

Even though I like Balo I do still maintain he is the most overrated player on Bluemoon for comments like this.

Think I'm in the minority though.

Dzeko for me, but Balotelli's performance at the Euros shows what he can do

Aguero and Tevez are the choice at the moment. Once the Cup games start then they we will be able to use our squad

One thing that bothers me a but about Balotelli is that he appears to only get wound up for the big games, and he's more likely to get an opportunity in the Cups.

Balotellis performance on euro was bad. he had just one good game. the other games he spend more time layin on the floor and was substituted everygame.

Dzeko is great, mario not. Just a marketing puppet and mancinis fav. Yes mario is consistent in the boulevard and geting cards.
Dzeko is the best CF in the legue. if he would play for other team he would score 40+

Edin for me. Mario needs to stop believing his own publicity (and also stop falling over all the time!).

In choosing Edin I really hope that he improves that first touch and holds the ball up better. He is a big powerful lad. Come on Edin throw your weight around a bit!

Difficult decision to make, Dzeko with all his faults (not many) hasnt let us down with his scoring ability, however Balo has that bit of genious about him and when push comes to shove it has to be Balo for me when fit.

Just out of curiosity, how many of Mario's goals are openers or winners in massive games ?

and , by the way , how many of edin goals are openers or winners in massive games ?

in italy we say " goals should not be counted . goals must be weighed"

Just out of curiosity:

- How many yellow and red cards each?
- How many games missed through stupid suspensions?
- Why are neither of them first choices for big games?
- Which of them is available while Kun is missing and we need cover?

In England we weigh commitment, professionalism, commonsense and teamwork as well as goals.

yeah.... i can see a lot of commonsense in the bolded sentence where you are more or less you are accusing mario not be available while he has to do an operation in his eyes. for which he also gave up the national team.

And the other points which you have very conveniently dodged? I look forward to your answers more in hope than anticipation.

I thought the eye surgery was elective but am prepared to be proved wrong on that point. But let's look at playing time last season. On the above figures Mario (and Edin) played for less than 60% of the total available match owing to suspension, injury or just not being picked. Presumably they are paid full time, which makes them very expensive resources.

Judging by this thread you are not in the minority.Dzeko wins this duel hands down and it's no surprise as he contributes more on a regular basis compared to Mario does have talent but oh so rarely shows it. He doesnt have a good touch, can too often be lazy, falls over far too easily, loses his rag far too easily and is a card waiting to happen

I'm with you. For all the time he's been at city I've never watched Balo and thought "Wow this guys good"... I honestly have no clue how some people rate him so highly.

do you really need my help for counting mario's cards and suspensions ? do it yourself if you care

and about the other point regard being first choice for big games you can easily find out that mario played a large parts of last season big games and often scored

edin for me any day of the week,,brilliant striker, proved it in germany and in england also a team player, as for balo he is a great character but will be sadly remembered for his off the pitch antics rather than his on the pitch skills, should have taken the apparent 40million of psg in the summer
