Edin or Mario?

Edin for me.

He just has so much more team play than Mario.

Mario can score fantastic goals but the rest of his game is nowhere near the level that makes the team better. I'm not even going to consider his temperament or the stupid tackles - just taking into account his passing, his movement to move defenders around to create space for others and the effort his puts in; a little too often it isn't of a high enough standard.

He can make some good runs for himself and, as I said, he can score fantastic goals.

But for me Edin is much more of a team player, even if he can't hit it first time in the top corner from a ridiculous angle or distance like Mario can.

I like both players and really want them both to do well. I don't have a favourite. I would equally like to sing "Woah woah wooaah, Edin Džeko" as I would "Oooaaah Balotelli..." but for the good of the team it's Edin.

It has to be Edin.

Despite the popular belief that Edin is a donkey and Mario is the greatest striker ever, Edin actually scores more goals, and gets sent-off less often ! Edin is also less likely to get a grass allergy at half-time, argue with a teammate over who takes a free-kick, etc., etc.

Mario is such a shit team player. The amount of mis placed passes he does is ridiculous.

I feel like we rarely see either of them at their full potential. Besides the 4 he scored against Spurs, we've never seen the Dzeko that was top scored in the Bundesliga for Wolfsburg.

Mario is selfish and unpredictable, but brilliant at times.

If both are at their best, I'd take Dzeko all day long. But they're not at their best, and Mario is younger, so...

Edin all day.

He holds the ball up better, he spreads the play better, he wins more headers, he gets in better positions and he stays on his feet more. Yes, his first touch lets him down sometimes and he looks a bit slow and clumsy, but give him a run in the team and let him settle and he'll bang them in from in and around the box. He has the vision for a good pass too. Against QPR he spread the ball well, and there was times when he held off the defenders well, where if that was Mario he would have been in a heap on the floor.

Dzeko is far more a team player.

The trouble is, he isn't going to get a run in the team, because Aguero is going to be fit again soon, and Edin is invariably going to drop back onto the bench, leaving him with no confidence... again.
