So tell me, what solutions are they actually offering to combat Islamic extremism that the government are not?

Because all I can see is a load of skin-heads trying to burn down mosques and somehow I don't think that's going to help.

The only way to combat their extremist element is to extend the hand of friendship to the sensible ones and work with the practitioners of the religion to weed out these individuals. I hate to break it to you but they aren't going to go away if we start throwing out Muslims and denigrating them as the EDL would have us do. In fact, believe it or not, that's exactly how these things spiral out of control.

Just waiting for somebody to come back on the bold but and explain how it can help. Surely they must think it will help otherwise they would not be wasting their time......

Where or when did you hear that Australia had threatened to deport muslims wanting to live under sharia law,because living here I'm sure I would have heard about it.
I'm sick of coming on here to dissuade the hard of thinking that Australia is not the living embodiment of an EDL wonderland,although saying that our attitude to refugee's is nothing short of scandalous.

Islam is the same a Christianity, it's a Religion, an idea, a faith. There are black, white and brown followers of both faiths. It is not racist to challenge any faith. It is not racist to challenge Christianity and it's not racist to challenge Islam either, in fact in liberal democracies it should be expected. It is a crime to incite hatred based on a religion someone follows. That is what the EDL do, they incite hatred against anyone who is a Muslim, whatever their colour. They do not distinguish between extremists and normal moderate Muslims (ie the majority).

Remember yesterday when I said that I had a problem with your rhetoric because it sounded exactly like the sort of language used by nobheads who support (openly or not) the divisive and disingenuous bullshit spouted by the EDL. You know, when you were gleefully reporting where the leader of the EDL was on his way to and predicting that "something big was going to happen"?

You were aghast when I suggested that it sounded like the sort of language that people who haven't got the bollocks to openly say that they would quite like something with the EDL to kick off and took great offence. You know, like the sort who aren't far away from always predicting Sharia Law and civil war in the UK soon.

Well, you aren't doing a very good job of dispelling that.

No doubt that will set you off on a rant but if you were genuine in being upset at the impression you were giving on that thread then someone might think that you wouldn't be back posting bullshit about them "being the only people prepared to do something about 'it'" or how they are some sort of bastion of equality cos they happen to have some black/Hindu/Jewish/Sikh bellends in their ranks to join the white, Christian ones.

PS: I haven't got any time at all for Islamic fundamentalism either and would gladly see them dealt with very severely - before you go down that route.

Just sick of the way things are. Espically living in Oldham where you can't even walk through some areas without being set upon for not being Muslim. And before you start it's true, me and my cousin had it just last week. Lost count of the amount of times I've been jumped off these brainwashed sick fucks.

Go and walk through Glodwick, Coldhurst, Werneth etc and see if your as sympathetic.
