Effective Ticket Price Protest

Unfortunately we are watching football in the premier league if everyone didn't go then tickets would be snapped up by tourists.

I keep here this phrase being branded about. If all hardcore fanbases ("real fans") in the premier league didn't turn up the stadiums would be 5% full at most.

Most people seem to be scared/lazy or whatever to actually do a real protest that would work so just make excuses. This one being the most popular excuse.

The facts are:

Football Ticket prices have never been higher in this country.
Football attendances have never been higher.

So people keep complaining but people keep paying. If people keep paying the clubs will keep charging, like they should from a business perspective as their job is to sell the tickets forthe highest price possible.

Maybe we need to be careful what we wish for. Protests could delay the decision to expand the North Stand that will mean an extra few thousand £299 seats

What if everyone bought tickets as normal then stayed outside the ground. Inside would be empty but would hear from outside.

Enter the ground but remain on the concourse for 15 minutes?

This for me.

I'm firmly in the mindset that £20 is more than plenty considering the TV money.

Premier League games should be capped at £15. May sound extreme but they should introduce safe standing and keep the prices right down. £10 for standing, £15 for a normal seat and £20 for padded.

Do this and English football will not only be the best league on the pitch, it will the best off it too.

Pretty good what Liverpool have done but dont you think they backed down pretty quickly? Is there an ulterior motive a long term one?

They stopped imposing the increase, which is great but it deflects from the real issue of getting matchday prices reduced.
