EFL Cup - 3rd Round Draw (WBA away)

The rags will be going for their 60th(?) consecutive televised game against Burton fucking Albion, meanwhile you can catch truncated highlights of City away to West Brom on MOTD2.

The whole thing is so bent I don't even know where to begin. Haven't drawn a team lower than the Championship in over 6 years? Haven't drawn home in 3? They aren't even being subtle about it.

The draw wasn't even televised this time and took place in the most corrupt country in the world.
No need to put the ball in the freezer then!
If it wasn't so blatant it would be quite funny..

Not a great draw but I doubt Pep will show any more enthusisam for winning it this year than he did last.

Hopefully we see a few kids in and play those first teamers without recent starts which could include the likes of Danilo, Sane, Sterling, Yaya, Fernandinho, Bravo, B Silva, Tosin and maybe Evans.

It isn't even subtle anymore now fixed football is, from draws to the officials and the fixture lists. Burton at home means they can play the kids so resting their first team for more important matches.

in the League Cup our draws have been fairly balanced, home and away. FA cup has been a bit heavy on the aways.

I've just posted on Facebook. It's not just that we can't blood some kids. Or our poor fans having to traipse to yet another away tie. It's the loss of revenue. We get no ticket sales. No shirt sales, no food or or programne sales. No hospitality earnings. Its millions lost over 11 games.. They invent ffp then physically stop us from meeting it. It's bent as fuck.

surely a couple of league cup home games wont matter to our finances will they?

What happens in the smoke filled dens of the Orient is no one's business!

I'm with frank regarding most of the bias media stuff, however the cup draws are starting to look very very suspect,

I personally dont think the draws are fixed mate and the arguments thrown change continuously to link a coincidence which suggests it.

Just the last couple of pages highlights this:

Its fixed because it is in china the most corrupt country in the world - Well the chinese president visited our club two years ago on a state visit and CMC holdings hold 13 percent in the club so if was to have been fixed it would have been done in our favour.

Fixed for clubs popular in the Far East - Liverpool (alleged Cartel club) drew Leicester away (Thai owned) so arguably for both those clubs it was a tough draw. Also we are hugely popular in the Far East so we should have had an easy draw also.

Its a tough draw but if were serious about the competition its one we should win.

The good news re this tie is that I won't have to buy one of those godawful corned dog pies that have usurped the throne of the meat and potato pies which have graced the concourse in CBL3 since '03.

Don't know what's happening to this club. One week it's a tunnel club and the next it's corned dog pies!
