EFL Cup Games 25/26 Sept

I really hate to sound arrogant but I’ll end up sounding it anyway.

Does anyone care about the League

I like it because it gives the likes of Foden, Diaz and the bench a good run out but other than that I’m no longer bothered.

Yes. It is arrogant stating this. We are City and we should aim to win as much silverware as possible.
Every LC-final late has been a great day out. It can be won early and therefore not obstructing league and CL fixtures. The FA cup does.
Top teams used to play kids. Loads of them. It is still pretty much weaker teams but days of complete youth teams are over and big clubs won it.

I'll take any and every trophy we can get our hands on.

Yeah, I do.

Yesterday was the happiest i've been after a City game this season, completely because of Foden. Next round that could be Brahim, or Erik Garcia, or Bernabe, or Dele-Bashiru who announces themselves through it.

I loved seeing Bravo and Caballero become heroes through it.

I like getting a trophy early and the energy that seems to give the squad - it's often said that winning is contagious and that's why I wanted us to win the Community Shield and it's the same for the League Cup. I wanna see Kompany holding up a trophy in Wembley as often as possible.

And lastly, I also like that by winning it we ramp up the pressure on everyone else. There's 3 domestic trophies, and we have 3 or 4 rivals. Come March if we're leading the league and we win the league cup, United, Spurs, Liverpool are fighting over the one last trophy to avoid a trophyless season and basically a disaster.

I want the quadruple on the anniversary of 99 and "The Greatest night in Barcelona".

It's not too much to ask is it...?

Hazard was too selfish, he doesn't know when to release the ball. He lost the ball in a dangerous area and then Sturridge almost scored when the ball hit the bar.

Two minutes later he continue his selfishness but it worked this time, dribbled past 3 players and scored world class goal.

When you have skillful players like Hazard, Sterling, Sane & Diaz you should encourage them to take the risk.

Anyway, glad Chelsea won & hopefully they can beat them again in the league.

Fuck me, great attendance from both sets of fans at Milton Keynes!

Fair play to Spurs, they’ve had a lot of fans turn up for games over the last year
