Bit disappointed that he's gone he was brilliant to watch under Sven, But he was never in Hughes plans, Good move for him to move on because I doubt that he would of even got on the bench next season.

Yeah, with Elano gone, we could certainly do with an attack minded midfielder who can play through the middle. Ireland is quality there, obviously, but if he were to be injured, or require resting, then I'm not sure who the replacement would be. SWP can play there, but it's not his best position. We've got cover out wide with SWP, Robinho, Petrov, Weiss and Etuhu being more than capable (obviously to varying degrees) of playing there.

With Sniejder and Van der Vaart on the transfer list at Real I'd be extremely interested in seeing if we can attract one of them.

Fucking stupid decision selling him.

1. He has sorted his personal issues out and got his form back and over the past maybe 10 games he's been outstanding, motm sometimes

2. We need creative players to feed the strikers with clever through balls and a bit of class. Elano has this in abundance.

3. He was the best penalty taker ever to wear a sky blue shirt. Awesome penalties.

4. IF it wasn't working out, we could have let him go at Christmas. We should have tried him out with Adebayor and Tevez and seen how it went. Was his attitude OK, how did he perform etc. It was worth 4 months of experimentation with the new team.

Selling him now is a moronic decision based on personal prejudices. Totally ridiculous.

Unfortunately most of those prejudices were Elano's.
Agree with waiting until Christmas - but he couldn`t cope with competition last year so didn`t bode well for the new season.

What's wrong with Turkis teams? He's not going to make it at the top clubs in Europe and with Galatasaray he'll get champions league football. And Galatasaray could give a good game to all Premiership teams and probably win atleast half.
