sorry if something has been posted about this yesterday, but was it just me who thought that they were both a complete disgrace? Both lacked any fight or robinho's (will to win), didnt look interested and after seeing them play for brazil on tuesday, it looks like they want to play for there country more than there club

i know people stood around me thought the same yesterday, opinions?

Nobody on that team yesterday including the maneger was any good, so why single out these two?
agreed that nobody played well, but others had a decent work rate and got stuck in, whereas these to didnt even do that, they just strolled around watching the game go by

I have to disagree, when flair players are having a bad game it often looks like they dont care. They cannot compensate by running around and kicking people, if their flair goes they have very little else to contribute.

I think the mistake you are making is to try to turn flair players into grafters, thats not going to happen.

the best flair players are the hardest grafters.

you dont get one without the other.

now the truth hurts, but watch united, and i didnt want to say that.

I was and am disgusted with their attitude.

Hughes should drop them, and the owners should have the balls to sell them - sadly this game for me marked the end of the Hughes regime - another manager falls to player power.

What are these players trying to achieve - that's what puzzles me? rankly I just think they are here for the money. They don't have any pride or desire to win - so we might as well bring in the kids, and players with pride.

This is the problem with a cheque book transfer policy. In future, the manager should pick the players with the long-term development of the team the sole aim.

The critics who sneered and said it will all end in tears have been proved right.

so your saying flair players cant track back and work hard for the team? im not saying they should go round kicking people, just put in a decent work rate. as fathellensbellend said, anyone who pays to watch city has the right to see players work hard even if they are not having a great game, and for me these two players didnt

When was the last time we saw Robinho and Elano play well away from home?

The Pompey game was a watershed match for me - it was an opportunity to rescue our League season and launch a run for a European spot - but some of the players just don't care.

Robinho has never been a player to track back he may have had two or three successfull tackles in his entire carreer.
He is in the team to provide goals and flair, he provided neither yesterday.

Elano should track back aswell as provide flair, i thought he put in a decent shift yesterday or at least he was no worse than the rest of the team.

My main point is that this happens everytime City loses, a couple of players gets singled out for abuse, there is something wrong with the entire team, and that needs sorting.

Or their countries manager, more than their club manager perhaps?

I don't think you can single out just them two yesterday. De Schlong was poor, so was Ireland too. I don't think it is the individuals entirely at fault though, it's the whole tactics and set-up of the team that needs changing IMO.

they are, strangely, the new boo boys

they are not the boo boys, nobody has booed them, its just when people spend a lot of money and time following the team, they like and deserve to see a certain amount of application from players, yesterday to my mind, neither contributed in the effort stakes, i can forgive anyone a shit game, a lack of perceived effort is another matter.

its an opinion echoed not only from city fans at the match, but from the media.

these two will flourish under a continental coach.

elano/robinho and hughes just ISNT working.

hughes has to be the one to leave IMO
