And I swear you can post anything on here sounding even slightly negative about the goings on at MCFC and Hughes would get blamed for it.

Utter rubbish.

That's how it feels at the moment.

Thats because there is a lot of criticism of Hughes that is merited.

And there is a lot of nonsensical defending of Hughes on this forum that merits a response.

Fucking bollocks. Hughes seems to be a woman, as in he holds grudges for extremely long periods of time and not forgetting when he's been wronged.

In your opinion.

You see it from viewpoint and I see it from another. Be boring if we were all the same after all.

However, Elano gets mentioned more often now than ever before. As another poster said he is fast becoming the stick to beat Hughes with.

I don't think Hughes is blameless in all this, but I don't think Elano will be missed if he does go.

Elano is getting more criticism than ever before. The internet gossip mill is in full force, and many people have started to believe things that patently are not true about him. I feel obliged to defend him, not against suggestions that we should sell him, or that we could do better, or that he hasn't played well, or that he isn't the consumate professional but against some of the re-written history that has appeared on this site since it became a case of Hughes vs Elano.

And I don't see how people can be upset if people use Elano as a stick to beat Hughes with, there is more than enough evidence to suggest that Hughes does deserve questioning on the way he has been managing Elano.

Joke Decision.

Yeah lets get rid of a player like Elano and replace him with Vassell or Hamman.

Hughes is the man to take us forward!!!

But you can also say that the "evidence" you refer to re Hughes is also part of the internet gossip mill.

And you feel obliged to defend Elano, whilst I feel obliged to defend Hughes.

Whilst I have no real gripe with Elano, I do think that his standing with some City fans has been raised since they read of the confrontations that are said to have happened between him and Hughes.

And one more thing, your edited reply to my earlier post. I HAVE seen your attempts to be balanced in this debate (I do tend to read things from beginning to end, contrary to your opinion), I was merely stating a general opinion about how the forum appears as a whole.

And who suggested that he was going to do that? How do any of us know?

Like most of the threads on this message board.

Don't mind people defending Hughes. But there are a few that won't stand for any questioning or criticism of him, and that IMO makes their opinion a bit worthless.

Whilst I have no real gripe with Elano, I do think that his standing with some City fans has been raised since they read of the confrontations that are said to have happened between him and Hughes.

I wouldn't have thought so. I think now more than ever where faced with the question as to whether or not we want him to be part of our future. And while so many are re-writing history regarding his attirubutes and his contribution to the club over the past 18 months or so, then you are going to find defenders. And while people think that it is Hughes standing between Elano staying at the club and not, then you're always going to find that he will cop some backlash.

And one more thing, your edited reply to my earlier post. I HAVE seen your attempts to be balanced in this debate (I do tend to read things from beginning to end, contrary to your opinion), I was merely stating a general opinion about how the forum appears as a whole.

Fair enough, no hard feelings (even though I think you're wrong on that). ;)
