Neither but Robinho was in a different class to Elano.

Ela would be rotting in our reserves right now

Would you rate Nasri better than Elano?
Im not Nasri's biggest fan and I think we look better without him but yeah easily.

I just think about where we were and where we are now, miles apart. Besides its not like Elano has gone on to tear up trees elsewhere (Great for us at the time though lazy bastard or not)

Robinho is a wonderful player but like other Brazilians they have a problem settling in Europe. He would if his mind was settled be a wonderful addition that ability we are missing. He did sign 3 years too early.

I wouldn't say Brazilians have a problem settling in Europe - Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Ronaldo, Marcelo, Maicon etc. The UK I would agree!

Ronaldinho had problems even while at Barca, Ronaldo the REAL one is the exception Marcelo has been here since he was young and Maicon also settled well. They all want to go home at some point.

Robinho.
Pato.
Love.
Jo.
Adriano.
Breno.
Edmundo.
Denilson.
Sobis.
Keirrison.

We could be here all day.

Robinho was what he was - a 'look at me' signing by the owners, and fair play to them too. He wasn't that good though, let's be honest, he was just a big name. He wouldn't get anywhere near this team now.

Its 3 years later he is even worse and AC Milan are struggling to sell him. He peaked at 21 then regressed every year since

He hasn't failed though he wants to leave HUGE difference.

Both would be useful to any team who dominates possession. The problem with both of them was the fact we were a mid table team at the time. Both were awesome to begin with, but as the team struggled, so did they.

Robinho would be perfect for us in certain games. He'd be much more effective on the left hand side than both Nasri and Balotelli anyway. At least in terms of goals and assists.

Both were completely mismanaged by Lesley Hughes. Both would get games even in this squad IMO. Robinho for me.

Definitely Elano, I think he would've thrived under Mancini. Badly managed by Hughesless

-- Tue Jan 15, 2013 10:40 am --

It's a daft question, but I'll answer anyway

Robinho. He has the ability to beat the first man and when we're playing against a packed defense, this could be essential plus he was a great player on the break

Elano would slow us down even more

Hmmm. Elano was excellent at one-touch passing and had a good rhythm to his work with the ball.

Robinho's trademark move was to receive the ball on the left then stop dead, face the fullback and try and do a trick. Sometimes it worked, often it didn't. But it slowed the play down again and again.
