Anyhoo...

For me, I would have loved to have seen the pairing of Ela and Silva.

It would have invoked the memories of that defence destroying partnership of Berks and Benny!

I love a player who every now and then has you on the edge of your seat saying WOW,

For me Robinho was one of those players...
 
Elano, all day.
I'd also take Benarbia over Berkovic, Rosler over Goater, and Bobby Johnstone over Joe Hayes.
None of them will be troubling Mancini's selection dilemmas anytime soon, though.
 
Elano every day of the week.

Elano had a magic box of keys that he could open any defence with. I dotn think we got the best out of him, Sven played him centrally where he thrived but that season ended badly all around, Hughes moved him out wide to accomadate and then on fire Ireland and he wasnt as effective.

Still think as a central playmaker or 'false 10' he would be immense in this side.

You couldnt play him and Silva for the same reason that Silva / Nasri tends not to work, all like to come inside from wide or prefer to play centrally.
 
Elano, class touch, better pass. Fantastic work rate at the best of times. Positionally aware. Right back, mid, centre forward. Best Sven signing ever.
