Elano was well pi**ed off at Fulham game.

Fulham was a big game for us, 7th was still possible and with it a Uefa place. had we won we would have been only 3 points behind WHU. Now this chance has all but gone.
What Hughes did with his selection was clearly a gamble. Boj needs games, as does Petrov, and Etuhu ???
I dont think Hughes should have gambled to the extent he did, Elano should have been in that team on Sunday, to leave him out was stupid, moreso if Hughes decides to not play Elano on Thursday as well.
Spot on - and we're still on 38 points and Mark Hughes is still playing mind games with Elano.

I cannot believe he hasn't featured a lot more in these last few games as we've been hit by injuries. When he has played recently he's done well, at least as good as the 10 other useless bastards anyway.

Hughes starting with Etuhu over Elano yesterday was plain, rank bad management. Fuck off Hughes.

Elano should have had a part in the game, he's a class player. He's a nice guy to, when he was warming up during the match he went up the the crowed and kissed a kid on the head.

MH need to play him alot more than he does!
FFS im a nice person does that mean i should get a game every week?

with his rant at the beginning of the season and some of his terrible performances, i can see why hes not playing

still he should have started i think yesterday instead of kelvin

That's a big fucking stretch to call it a rant, it was an interview.

He regularly plays for Brazil, and Hughes prefers Etuhu ahead of him is a strange thing.

are we all agreed then that Etuhu is wank then?
Fucks me off that he manages to get a few first team games when theres probably a number of people on here better than him

Why have a go at the kid? If you where in his shoes would you have refused to play? I am a Hughes supporter, but he got it wrong by not playing Elano and going with 2 defensive midfielders IMO.

Not only was an interview, it was a CORRECT summation of the vibes was getting from Hughes.

"I don't know why I'm not getting picked" was one of his answers, which people on this site slagged him for. 'Work harder' was the cry from fans. He works harder, gets a few inconsistent games, gets it together, then is dropped.

Should he work EVEN harder like Evans??

Fickle fans with fickle views.

I remain unimpressed with the substitutions frm yesterday but less with not putting on Elano and more the fact that, once again, it was simply straight swaps in a strategy that clearly wasn't working.

I think this was the perfect game to give Ireland a rest too, play Elano in behind Boj and play Etuhu/Tealady/Groundstaff out on the right. I'd be pissed off too if I had to sit on the bench and watch the team perform like that, at least it shows some passion that he really wanted to get on there and try and help, which is more than can be said for others.
