Elano

I'd have him back purely like a kicker in American football. Bring him on in the last few minutes of extra time (for Tevez if still here and on the pitch) in knockout competitions if we are still drawing so we are guaranteed to score at least one penalty in a shoot out. Hands down the best penalty taker I have ever seen but to answer your question would he f**k!!
Absolutly quality penalty taker!!!

I think if he was surrounded by the quality of players we have now hed look class most games not ahead of silva but with aguero running in ahead of him or dzeko he'd be sliding them in and banging in freekicks week in week out. the only reason he looked poor is because teams could afford to target him and him alone when our only true other world class player at the time was robi who although have an absolute stinker he had the ability to change the game with one piece of brilliance i think both of them would look class within our team now

As someone else has already posted, brilliant penalty tacker. I've never seen anymore take better pens. But that alone can't justify a place in the team. Not consistent enough.

Agreed about Elano.

At the time he was key to our creativity. When other teams realised he could be wound up easily, that was his game over. In the team we have now he would be better protected and better able to keep his concentration.

Personally i would have him back tomorrow.

Not too sure about Robi tho, i would need a bit more convincing.

Great player Elano. He would have played for Mancini and would have had a field day
with the players around him, especially at home. Mancini would have loved him
like Emily's cat

Elano´s last two penalties kick:

Elano is probably the most overrated player by City fans. He couldn't cut it in Turkey, and would be loaned out to Brentford if he was here now.

according to wikipedia he is with santos now and has scored 11 goals in his 18 games

You've got to think of the quality of the opposition when it's Club football in Brazil.

Lol at him being over rated, he played in the Brazilian national team for years. In my honest opinion he would adapt better to our current squad, would he put Silva out of the team? No, but he would be a handy squad member.

I liked him at his time at city, but in the future I'd stick with the argentines!!

He was a fairly decent player. Would still have a place in the squad if he was still here, although Kompany did say at an OSC meeting I went to that he visited once, just after Elano left "most of the trouble causer are gone now!"
