Electric Car Charging

There would be cars flying off the road left right and centre, I don't think you've thought it through, unlike me and my flawless plan.
;-)
I'm aware Scalextric crash barriers wouldn't stop an out of control car, but we have the basis for an idea.
Also, I'm fairly sure drivers would control their cars slightly better than me and my mates controlled our Scalextric cars. And I mean slightly better judging by standards on UK roads.

The smoke just comes out the back of a power station instead.
This is true unless it’s from renewables. The bigger issue is the environmental impact of making an EV which is substantially more damaging to the environment than building an equivalent ICE car.

That last sentence is spot on !

What do you mean - scrapping a perfectly good existing car and replacing it with something made of precious metals mined across the other side of the world, shipped round the planet on a diesel tanker, combined with plastics and chemicals and filled with batteries with a 10 year life span and made up of unrepairable electronic components so it’s written off after a minor scrape, and all powered by electricity derived from fossil fuels anyway, sounds like the ideal solution to the world’s carbon problem to me.

In other news I’ve got a bridge for sale.

Are the ones made from precious metals like for kings and queens and oligarchs? Think you mean rare earth minerals.

I believe vw have stoped making parts for beetles my mate sold his because of this, it’s like the are pushing people to EV whether they want it or not

It's eye opening when you go to other countries just how shit our transport infrastructure us.

Go to Denmark, Sweden or Germany and the combination of public transport and cycling infrastructure in their cities is like something from Star Trek compared to the UK. They're literally centuries ahead of us.

The UK is a shithole.
You’re being generous!
