Are Braun as good as the reviews say and worth the extra cost?

I use a Braun S3 wet/dry, and its great, I mostly use it dry, but sometimes wet, I only really shave when I have to go to work, so sometimes its quite stubbly, but it copes well with that. One thing I think people forget is they need to change the head, I normally change every six months or so, and always clean the head after use, get rid of all the stubble, brush, then wash and dry.
