He's a better option than spending £25m on Gibson. Still not the long term answer but hopefully Pep can massively improve him.

I'd be fine with keeping Mangala for this season and see how he does and then next season buy a left footed centreback and sell one of Otamendi or Mangala depending on how the season goes.

I like the sound of that. Always felt Mangala would be great for a squad role. Has pace and is very physical, something different. Would prefer VVD of course but that looks unlikely.

Mangala is going to be perfect for some games.

Would be very happy to see him stay. Better footballer than most on here believe. Much better athlete than some on here seem to think. Biggest struggle for him has always been confidence. He's a little anxious at times but has all of the talent
