Looks like a headless chicken. He's very raw. Not impressed with him at all tonight. Would not pay the amounts of money that is being quoted.

doesnt impress me from the games ive seen 20 odd million for physicallity and pace but he is so raw no where near the finished article i say we look elsewhere.

Re: Eliaquim Mangala

Looking back over these last few posts, after watching last nights match......

Certain phrases keep cropping up, Pace, Power, Raw, Headless Chicken, lots of potential

Is it just me, or do these also belong to a certain RB cum CB who we are showing the door to in the summer?

Wasn't Richards at his age (or even younger) full of that same potential?

Seemed to me that he ended up out of position on a few occasions, and I could see him ball chasing, when he should have been holding the line.

Seems a hell of a lot of money to get ourselves another Micah, lets hope he doesn't suffer the same injury problems when faced with the rigours of the PL

You beat me to it.

Yes, he is very much like Micah Richards.

I think your observation may be scarily close to the mark. Perhaps Porto will take a swap deal?

Re: Eliaquim Mangala

For the sums quoted I believe we could get an established CB.

Someone like Subotic or Hummels

Dzeko going the other way can be an option as well. (I really hope we use dzeko in a deal with dortmund for reus)

BVB willing to let either go for around the £25m mark as they have the greek lad and need the money for other areas, they'd probably do a straight swap for Dzeko, Reus won't leave for less than £50-60m this summer, personally I'd wait till the £30m or so release clause kicks in after next season.

Re: Eliaquim Mangala

After the last transfer window I fully trust the guys in charge of recruitment! It's a lot of money but they obviously have the evident and data analysis to chase him.

Except Mangala can pass, can tackle and can also get up and down the pitch at will.

There's a reason why one is wanted by top clubs across Europe and Micah currently has a choice of one, and a mid-table one at that.

£45m for Thiago Silva, a fraud IMO, but many seem to rate him.

People laughed at United paying Leeds £30m for Ferdinand, a show pony prone to mistakes all the time.

United knew they were buying top potential.

Micah is at the limit of his ability, Mangala, is at the start of his.

Nothing I have heard suggests we won't get them, barring PSG also in for Mangala.
