Re: Eliaquim Mangala

I'm watching sevilla vs porto.

Porto just conceded a goal, Mangala could have done something to stop the ball from going into the net, but he didn't do it. He was well beaten.

Re: Eliaquim Mangala

Its not his night.....just been booked because the Sevilla player is a cheating cnut.

His athleticism got him into position in the first place and he got unlucky with the shot, youre being way too harsh.

Re: Eliaquim Mangala

Not impressed at all but I can't see potential very well. Not as good as Nasty by some distance.

I rate this lad more, not 20m more...... but certainly he's an upgrade.

Mangala is more aware, more switched on,and his pace and power are on a different level entirely.

In fairness,i really don't think Mangala's team mates are doing him any favours. In a better team he would look far more composed and capable.

Re: Eliaquim Mangala

Not a lot he can do about it today, the entire team has collapsed around him without Fernando there. None of the goals were anything to do with him, other than a shot unluckily going through his legs after he did well to get back and cover the runner in behind Reyes for the second.

Nastasic is still a long away from being a regular for us though if you ask me, his inexperience in the Bayern home game and both Chelsea games in the league proved he has a long way to go yet.

His lack of pace looks to be a concern in Pellegrini's high line system in my opinion, under Mancini our defence played deeper and was much more protected with Barry and Yaya being more disciplined than Fernandino and Yaya this season.

Mangala is suffering from not having Fernando in front of him in my opinion, he is still the best central defender I have seen this season that is not aquired by one of the current best teams in Europe.
