Fernando is out of contract in the summer when they will get nothing, they are basically trying to force him to leave so they can get some decent money in for him.

If Mangala has flown out to Madeira with the Porto squad then it's highly unlikely he'll be signing in this window, Fernando looks the only possibility.

It only matters if the squad have flown out already and he is with them. In fairness though its academic it never looked likely this deal would happen now given the time constraints and the way Porto have handled negotiations.

I said "IF"...

They are due to play in Madeira tomorrow at 17-15, that's an 800 mile journey so safe to say they will be flying out there today and as Mangala has been named in the squad and Fernando hasn't then draw your own conclusions.

Dragging on too much this - I think its very difficult for City to get the Mangala deal over the line. Porto want sh*t loads of money and player not 100% sold on the move by the sounds of it .... If we have to come back in for him in the summer I fear it will be even more difficult. Watch Monaco, PSG or Chelski come in and get the deal over the line in quick time, the don't fook about when they want a player !!
