Because then the deal goes through and they have to announce it to the stock exchange. I imagine they're planning on doing more with our €40m than just Martins Indi.

Porto has a game tomorrow at home followed by Aug 3rd away at Everton. While Aug 4th ends our US tour. We'll see what happens around these times.

We would look like the biggest fools ever if Mangala ended up signing for Chelsea.

Hate Mourinho, Mendes and their mind games if that is what is causing the hold up and not the 3rd party ownership. Do we know who these 3rd party owners are and what is causing the hold up?

It would appear that the deal is almost done but we have seen other deals collapse at a late stage.

I must admit to being surprised that Chelsea haven't been linked with any other centre halfs.

I hope my paranoia is unfounded but after not closing the deal in January, we have had 8 months and that's a little concerning.

The substance of the poster's complaint is that Sakho has rejoined the Dippers training camp from the French WC squad whereas Mangala remains on his hols (with Sagna) instead of joining ours or indeed Porto's. According to his OS interview Manuel also has no idea whether Eli is on his way here or there either

We have five players who have just returned from their break after the World Cup and another five or six that are still to join the squad. So I think that they are working well and playing well and they have to take their chance.”

actually if he had included Sagna he should have said 6 or 7 ;-)
