Whoever buys him in the summer won't be getting him for a pre-season anyway. England will get to the QF at least looking at the routes meaning he will take a holiday upto the start of August anyway.

I would rather give a player a full pre-season than let him come straight in first game of next season with a big price tag over his head.

Who said it was an extra 25 mill, would have thought its worth more than 25 mill for them to keep him until the summer.

Graph doesn’t even make sense, only a percentage would make sense, the more you control the ball, the more the miscontrol it is all you can really take from that.

Some absolutely nonsense isn’t it and highly dependant on a teams playing style, Forrest are frequently pressed, Arsenal are not.

It doesn’t even take into account player profiles, comparing Foden on that list to Zubamendi is nuts. It’s Fodens job to control the ball in tight areas surrounded by players whereas Zubamendi sits in front of the defence under very little pressure. The fact that Phil has only miscontrolled it 25 times is actually insane considering where and how he plays.

It's actually quite interesting, and it does make sense, if you're below the line your first touch sucks...

But really, Anderson is so far ahead of anyone else in number of touches? And for a team that doesn't even dominate the ball, is a very good thing. Shows he's definitely brave in wanting the ball, teammates trust him and he's probably recieving it under pressure often too.

Your second point is true though.

It's useless data unless you know how each pass made. Was each pass easy to control direct to a player's feet on the ground or above their head. And don't forget the pace of the pass.

It's impressive how many attempts he's made.

His 'miscontrols' are in line with Phil's, ie. if Phil made as many attempts he'd probably have a very similar number of miscontrols.

So my questions would be how come Anderson has made so many attempts?

Firstly he's always wanting the ball - and getting given it. Secondly - possibly - where some are happy to knock interceptions anywhere, he's possibly trying to control them so he can use the ball better.

Rice and Zubimendi definitely benefit in this stat from playing so many low blocks. Possibly Nico does a bit too, but teams are trying to press us a bit more now.

Nico is on his own, Arse play Zubimendi and Rice together. If we played Rodri and Nico together (please let this happen soon), their figures would shoot up.

i can't wait when Arsenal fans start shouting "Zubimendi has best weighted passes per 90 in the league' or "Saliba has the less eye blinks in the league. All-seeying"
