I’ve signed up to it. Most of the accounts
I followed have moved across and the algorithm works so it’s like what Twitter used to be, which I really liked.

Bluesky seems decent so far. Just a few accounts haven’t moved over that I use. Hopefully won’t be long.
 
Currently Musk is one of the most dangerous people on the planet. With a bully pulpit with 200 million followers he is endorsing all sorts of right wing fascist shite, including a pro Tommy Robinson documentary the other day. The responses to his tweets are quite alarming including a pseudo-intellectual holocaust denial thread. It’s easy for people with half a brain to recognise it as vile propaganda but there’s far too many people who are gullible enough to be taken in by him. He particularly seems to be targeting the UK government with his bile and has a willing audience of far right Farage supporting bellends who seem to love it.

Even if X loses him a shit load of money that’s irrelevant to him because it serves its primary purpose for being the mouthpiece of the MAGA agenda and its equivalents around the world.

There seems to be a certain irony that we have lots of supposed 'patriots' who seem very happy that a foreign businessman is trying to destabilise our country.

as I said previously as he has cuffed himself to Trump means that if it becomes worthless he will have spent $44bn to get his mitts on a whole economy with a GDP of $30tr - thats good business
 
I can't stand Musk, never liked him since he's publicly slandered the British cave diver who helped rescue those Thai kids stuck in cave, refused to apologise and then used his money to escape the defamation case brought against him. He's a loose cannon sticking his nose into everything, often stuff he knows little about. He should keep his nose out of politics and especially the politics of other countries. I would like Starmer to remind him of that.

And his open embrace of Trump is going to fucking kill Tesla sales:

Probably Musk will make a bunch of money when NASA suddenly starts awarding mega-contracts to SpaceX. But that's likely to be swamped by losses due to his Twitter acquisition and (likely) drop in Tesla sales.

It won’t be - the cost of the Twitter acquisition is “trivial” in terms of his overall finances.
His personal worth grew by $28bn overnight on Trump’s victory. He makes huge sums from Starlink and SpaceX. He is predicted to become a trillionaire sometime next year !
