Elon Musk

Why doesn’t Starmer just call for another inquiry to just shut Musk and the rest up, I know they just want to get on with the previous recommendations if it were me I’d do both

Because that’s giving into Musk and they would have the ‘told you so bragging rights’ , we’ve had inquiries that have gone on for years and cost hundreds of millions, having a new one would just delay implementing the recommendations that we got from previous inquiries.

I'd support a public inquiry just into how to shut Musk up.

What's the point of another public inquiry into grooming gang?

We've got a public inquiry into how Lucy Letby got away with it even while some are demanding she get a retrial.

Grenfell Tower still stands because it might be evidence in any prosecutions, and the police wouldn't prosecute while the public inquiry was going on.

And I just watched the Oldham council debate that called for a Home Office led public inquiry (just into Oldham), and it was fairly obvious they expected the new Labour government to turn it down, just as the Tory government had done. (Why wasn't it a media storm / Muskrat intervention then?)

Oldham Council unanimously resolved:
1. To write to the Home Secretary requesting a Home Office led Public Inquiry into Child Sexual Exploitation in the borough of Oldham.
2. To continue the work with survivors and others affected in preparing the framework and to commission an Independent Inquiry should the Home Office refuse the above request.
3. That any Inquiry should provide a voice for those affected by Child Sexual Exploitation in Oldham and provide the very best support and protection to those who wish to come forward with their testimony.

That was passed unanimously - but there was a bit of political point-scoring because it looks like that motion was to pre-empt an opposition motion that was taken later and did descend into accusation and counter-accusation (before being defeated - though there may be other legitimate concerns raised in that)

As well as interfering with implementing the recommendations from the original enquiry, how much and how long do you think it might cost?

You might find your answer then

Spain worrying about he owns all the low earth satellites
I think he’s drumming up business for his failing X platform as well as trying to help his pals in the Kremlin, there is nothing to be gained from Europe swinging to the right that I can see

Someone will try to take him out
It will be when he attempts to fuck with the Royals. You can attempt to destabilise the Government and be fine but people who attempt to destabilise our Monarchy tend to end up getting window cancer. Notice how he's in full support of the King whilst attacking every other part of the country. He's no idiot.

Besides, he doesn't really give a shit about UK politics and the purpose of all of this is to distract from H1B argument that split the Trump support. He's reuniting them behind a common foe.

Don't understand why someone with so much money would want to spend their time interfering with the politics in a country many miles away instead of lying on a beach being sucked off by models

Actually if there's one thing that the past 15-20 years of global politics has taught us, it's that people vastly underestimate the potential impact and popularity of right wing populism
Populism on here seems to mean being popular is bad but don't worry because a populist is not very popular although we get warned about the danger of unpopular populism.
Maybe we should call is mehism although being a mehist wouldn't have the same affect:-)

What intelligent, rational reason would one vote Reform for?
A protest vote is a valid answer.

When people consistently moan about things that never really change, when any decision takes forever, costs a fortune and still doesn't do much good. When people feel this way whether the Tories or Labour is in then -

What intelligent rational reason would one vote for the status quo?

That’s a good point so far he fails to criticise the monarchy we are monitoring Musk and his dangerous ramblings, it requires MP’s to have more security guards Jess Phillips needs a bodyguard it only takes one deranged idiot.
I wonder why women are made a target so often for this sort of criticism in the media they recieve much more than men I think
