I thought his behaviour and language was at odds with his reputation at the time.
Like you, it made me pay more attention to what he said.
Then he had a go about Unions. So i read up how he treats his employees. I was appalled with what i read.
They are nothing more than disposable units.

The signs were there. Now just greatly exposed.
I don't think he has thought it through though. What happens to him once Trump has gone? What happens to his contracts and businesses throughout the world?
He won't be afforded Presidential protection like ex leaders.

Let's put it one way. He will never see a man step foot on Mars...

One thing he probably hasn’t thought through are that the widespread suggestions that he is Trump’s puppet master will eventually piss Trump off and due to his thin skin and narcissism Trump will get rid of him to demonstrate that he’s in control.

The whole Republican Party has been rotten since long before Trump. The last 25 years at least has been a constant battle against people who basically want to turn the US into an evangelical theocracy. There’s no way whoever takes over from Trump isn’t welcoming Musk with open arms. Such is the corruption at the heart of the US system.

Shame as there are some great contributors (who I guess have to stay on as it pipes funds into their livelihood).
And I don't want to live in an echo chamber but it's just an utter toxic tip now.
Threads seems ok and I haven't tried Bluesky but limiting use of these apps (even as decent news and science sources) can't be a bad thing.
 
I wonder if his assault on British democracy and his descent into ket fuelled insanity gathers further pace, whether we’ll start to see targeted attacks on Tesla property in the UK, both in terms of showrooms and cars.

Same goes for Germany.

Be interesting to see the response if it’s coordinated in a competent way.

Was on blue-sky this AM and have seen Tesla sales in Europe have fallen by half.

Got me thinking of this...

Agree, plenty of evidence suggests Musk is a BSer. These markets he is targeting are not competition free. And his ideas around eliminating millions of jobs by replacing people with driverless vehicles and robots will face some opposition even if he can make it work.

The day the above was posted Tesla was trading at 420ish. They peaked at 454 and are today at 325.

I'd say it's still a strong sell. Musk is a disaster.

How are you finding Bluesky?

I should really just do away with some of these SM apps (FB seems ripe for the chop - I'm sure I only use it to 'Like' mate's Wordle Score now), but you know there's some decent people out there.

Threads is ok but I can only do with one of them.

Insta is where I hoard my coffee addiction....and to and fro daft memes to my brother.

I find it ok but I’ve tried to stay away from politics, I occasionally use it to follow city stuff but there’s nit much about that I can see.

Its not Twitter of old. Engagement is pretty sparse unless you put effort in. But it's got some of the content I used to get on twitter and I find I just use it much less.

Whatever you do get if X. Awful.

300 now. Down nearly 10% today.

Down 38% from their Mid December high of 488. I hope they go bust.

Painful 2 months for you since you posted this. You still gonna hold or cut the paper losses and take the growth on the shares you bought at 110?
