I agree, I don't agree with anything that he has recently said or done but there's no justification for violence and criminal damage, literally no justification. Anybody advocating for that should consider their own behaviour first.
Exactly and that's only going to get worse. I think we're now seeing a huge change as China becomes even more advanced technologically. Most car makers here will be gone and outcompeted in 10 years time. Europe similarly will go the same way, Germany is already feeling that pain where its economy hasn't grown for 2 years.
I dont think they are necessarily more technologically advanced, they are less risk averse and crucially are backed by the state to succeed. Most car manufacturers try to monetise new tech as much as possible, initially fitting it only to their high end models and then gradually over time dripping it down to cheaper models. The Chinese manufacturers dont think like this as at a national level its about providing a product that is so attractive as a value proposition that you take customers from the European manufacturers, once you have got rid of your competitors you can then gradually increase the price (its a long game strategy, which if you have shareholders who want quarterly increases in profits you cant compete with).
