If we do get James, could you imagine Mancini putting him upfront in the last game of the season like Pearce did when we were going for 7th?

Fair point. But come on - less experience and less quality = more risk. Anyway by making the application it appears Mancini et al agree we cant rely on Gunnar on such a major stage.

Without trying to sound glib I'm actually excited at the prospect of Gunnar getting a go. Let's face it, we're not going to bag a world beater on emergency loan, are we?
