Emiliano Sala - Cardiff suing Nantes for £100m (P 49)

This is beyond wrong what Cardiff are doing, all that upset bollocks once a bluebird all the tears, a very big turd of a club, no one will forget what they are doing to this transfer saga.

Rent a gob Warnock seems very quiet now. He was allover the place after the death milking (perhaps I'm being unfair) the situation.

If this was City I'd be outraged but for some reason I'm less that shocked this horrible club have/ tried to wriggle out of this situation.
I wholly believe that in similar circumstances our club would have been a lot more empathetic and probably very generous to his grieving family.

I hope we get a premier league goal scoring record against these shallow ****s.

Absolutely appalled over Cardiff's refusal to pay up. Hope they get shafted in court and get relegated whilst we're at it. It's an absolute disgrace really and I can't believe it's not getting more publicity.

I think it would be getting a whole lot more publicity if it was Nantes that owed the money!

Everybody knows that Cardiff are massively in the wrong to be arguing this and should pay up but it seems like the media are keeping this point of view abit hush hush

This is very true. I'm not a French speaker but does anyone know what sort of coverage this is getting across the water?

This from Le Telegramme, my local Bretagne paper. Nantes being in Brittany.

Cardiff should announce to Fifa that the € 17 million contract he agreed to pay to Nantes for the transfer of Emiliano Sala became "null and void" after his death in a plane crash, a announced on Monday the Daily Telegraph.
According to the British daily, Sala signed a contract with Cardiff which was rejected by the Premier League and died before the signing of the revised contract, adding that there is a dispute over the fact that he has agreed to sign the new agreement , or not.

A source close to Cardiff said the agreement stipulated that the Welsh and French football authorities were to confirm to the two clubs that Sala "was registered as a Cardiff City FC player and that the player's international transfer certificate had been made public" , is it also indicated in the article.
The same source stated that this had not happened before Sala's death adding that "the transfer agreement between Cardiff and Nantes was subject to several conditions".
"If none (of these conditions) were fulfilled, the contract would be recognized null and void, without payment due. Nantes has proposed this clause. They asked for strict notification of these requirements, "she added.
Nantes would intend to challenge the version of Cardiff, saying that the club had completed the necessary paperwork.
Reacting to this new element, a Fifa spokesman said that she had received a complaint on 26 April from FC Nantes regarding the transfer of Emiliano Sala, that the procedure was ongoing and that she could not say more at this point.
The plane carrying Sala disappeared from radar on the evening of 21 January off the island of Guernsey, returning from a trip from Cardiff, where the player had just signed, to Nantes, to greet one last time his teammates at the Jonelière training center and take some business.
His body was found in the wreckage of the plane, 67 meters deep, and recovered on February 7, while that of the pilot of the aircraft, David Ibbotson, remains untraceable.
