Emmanuel Adebayor has held heart-to-heart talks with Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas over his unhappiness at a lack of first-team football.
Following a protracted summer transfer saga, Adebayor joined Spurs from Manchester City after last season's successful loan spell.
But he has grown frustrated at White Hart Lane, having made just three substitute appearances.
He arrived expecting to be the club's first-choice central striker, but has had to play second fiddle to in-form Jermain Defoe.
But Villas-Boas has assured the former Arsenal forward that he remains an integral part of his plans.
The Portuguese manager and his backroom team felt Adebayor was not fit enough to start during the opening games of the campaign because his pre-season had been disrupted by the on-off nature of his transfer.
The 28-year-old Togolese striker was put on a special fitness programme to get him back up to speed, but his progress has been hampered by a hamstring problem.

Unplayable when he can be arsed, unfortunately for the Spuds he has got a nice new contract now, so he won't be arsed.

cant trust anything from the DM. He's still better than Dzeko though. Was on less wages(club also spent 30 million on Dzeko transfer)

Both can be highly frustrating at times but they are on a similar level as far as effectiveness and ability, last year Adebayor scored 3 more league goals than dzeko but he played 3 more games and was the focal point of the attack, played more minutes and had less competition. Dzeko regularly comes off the bench and scores, Adebayor was not good at this for us and took eons just to get his kit on and then moaned when he had fuck all time on the pitch. Also the wages thing is probably wrong as most references to his weekly wage have been lower than those made about Adebayor.

Bollocks.
Dzeko, while being at least as effective, takes a pride in wearing the shirt and gives 100% for the team every time he takes to the pitch - i know who i'd want by my side......

Adebayor ranks amongst our worst ever purchases.
