Emmanuel Adebayor

Seems like AVB never wanted him and it was more of Levy saying we are too deep into this deal. Spurs are being linked with Negredo which means if it happens Ade is finished at Spurs

Emmanuel Adebayor has held heart-to-heart talks with Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas over his unhappiness at a lack of first-team football.
Following a protracted summer transfer saga, Adebayor joined Spurs from Manchester City after last season's successful loan spell.
But he has grown frustrated at White Hart Lane, having made just three substitute appearances.
He arrived expecting to be the club's first-choice central striker, but has had to play second fiddle to in-form Jermain Defoe.
But Villas-Boas has assured the former Arsenal forward that he remains an integral part of his plans.
The Portuguese manager and his backroom team felt Adebayor was not fit enough to start during the opening games of the campaign because his pre-season had been disrupted by the on-off nature of his transfer.
The 28-year-old Togolese striker was put on a special fitness programme to get him back up to speed, but his progress has been hampered by a hamstring problem.

cant trust anything from the DM. He's still better than Dzeko though. Was on less wages(club also spent 30 million on Dzeko transfer)
thats debatable dont c him better than edin meself no way fella

To be fair, Adebayor wouldn't have had to sprint up there as he would already have been loitering near their goal... offside of course.

I warned all my Spur's mates about him.

AVB was never going to like Adebayour. This was a 'crowd pleasing' Levy signing, and a poor one at that.

He's never been a team player and never will be.

From the moment we were linked with him from Arsenal I never wanted us to sign him. Even when he made a good start and was scoring goals I never took to him. His first season was pretty good goals wise but for me his face just didn't fit. There were still too many games where he couldn't be arsed. Couldn't wait to get rid of him and have said all along Spurs will regret signing him. Didn't think it would happen so soon though!
