Did I mention I'd been on Eggheads?
Had a phone interview today (with a zoom interview to follow) and the person who interviewed me (on her email) was described as an "employee experience manager".
What the fuck does that mean? I googled it and this came up.

What does an employee experience manager do?

"Employee experience managers excel at building and sustaining a positive and fruitful work atmosphere. They strive to create an organization that beckons and keeps capable employees by addressing matters beyond compensation packages, perks, and benefits"

sounds like a job for someone straight out of Uni who has not had any experience of real day-to-day day life but just wants to keep everyone happy!

To cap off the interview, she asked me if there was a specific pronoun I preferred to be known as. I knew what she meant but played the ignorant and asked what she meant.... off she went on her scripted notes, detailing all the pronouns they would be accepting of calling me should I so desire.

I have got to be honest, the whole thing sounds like a bad Monty Python sketch. As a point of interest you should have asked for the "Leopard" neopronoun to see how it landed.

If i was the "employee experience manager" I'd be like..... "last 30 mins of work are down the nearest pub where we can discuss the issues of the day and how we can improve them tomorrow..."

I haven't a clue about any of the above but If you've got shite like that today, we'll have it tomorrow.

The first discussion on how to improve the workplace for tomorrow should be, the last 60 mins of work to be spent down the pub, so everyone can discuss the issues of the day in more detail.
The only way to improve work, is to keep deducting 30 mins per day to add on to pub time!
