There's a seat next to me in block 134 which has been empty all season and yet it never shows up as available when buying extra tickets.

This also....

Seat next to us been empty all season.
Tried buying it for my father in law and everytime it's been taken.

I'm in the family stand with a seat for my daughter. I won't be bringing her along while it is cold. The problem is we are only allowed 2 upgrades for the weekend games and unlimited for night games. I have now used my 2 up for weekends. So my daughters seat may be empty some weekends
the cold???? seriously? hat, scarf, gloves?????

Once again I sit in the family stand, there are individuals who have a family stand level 1 who choose to be in a different part of the ground, It not a problem. 2 seasons ago the guy who sat next to never missed a game, but never sat in his seat never sat in the North Stand only came in that entrance. The tickets you refer to are usually filled with groups football teams/youth groups/any other groups.

North Stand is still mostly family, but I think they may have relaxed the stringent rules post 16 they use to apply.

I think some people get season tickets for kids that they have no intention of taking and therefore empty seats. The cost is only £95 for the season and adult ticket in there is cheap anyway.

I started in there when son was 8 and we had front row tier 2 seats. There was an empty seat next to us and I was very tempted to do the same to stay in there.

My child is 6 I can do what I want - A 6 year old does not always enjoy the game when it is freezing - yesterday was a nightmare walking to and from the ground

Baffles me, every home game this season has been a sell out yet when you are at the ground there appears to be droves of empty seats in the north stand only. Is there any particular reason ? People that aren't city fans must think out support is pathetic when watching motd as you can see them all empty.

we have a fair few who walk round to 111 and stand in our & others rows with their kids

This.........And not just 111..

If you told everyone to sit in 116 & 117 there would be a hell of a lot left standing!!!

We have a season card for a seat in the family stand which as been empty all season as the child comes in with us in 117.

I've got season tickets for me and my two lads in the north stand level 1 block 138. It is still the family stand although some of the seats are held over for community groups such as local youth football teams and other groups. Also some of the City staff from the City Shop etc. as previously mentioned seem to use the area. At the Bayern game there were about 30 French teenagers from a football club touring the area who were celebrating the remarkable 7-1 Lyon result as the highlights were shown at the end of the game.

I think the idea is about promoting the club and growing the support into the future and that's not a bad approach. Sometimes there are a few spare seats around although it doesn't seem that bad and the atmosphere is usually pretty good. I've been up to the third tier a couple of times where they seem too posh to do the poznan!

I'm always amazed when looking around the stadium the empty seats around the ground, especially when it's sold out (which is practically every game now) including the second & third tier and paricularly I don't understand the amount of empty seats around the directors/sponsorhip area. Although the south stands always pretty solid.

Despite the gaps the atmosphere seemed pretty good yesterday although that might have been down to the pace of the game which was amazing - nearly as good as the Napoli away game.

Defo. There's about 12 people to 5 seats near me.

Level 1 is the family stand,I sit there all 9 of us,they did narrow it this season by a block each side.

re the directors box empty seats, this is the same throughout corporate. From Level two just take a look how few corporate boxes are full. It has improved since the start of the season when many appeared empty but there are still few people in the external seats.
This must be a worry for our owners.

The attendance figures are nonsense imo.

I find it very hard to imagine that there are, at every single game, so many people with season tickets who don't attend. Every single game. In virtually every stand apart from the South Stand. Large numbers of seats dotted about everywhere empty. It doesn't add up.

And if there really are so many clowns buying up tickets and then not using them (and we are not talking not being able to make the odd match, we must be talking people virtually never using them to justify the number of empties at every match) then I have a hard time thinking that they are not tossers.

Yes, they are free to do what they want with their cash, but it prevents genuine fans getting to games.

And where were these 'I have a season ticket but never use it' merchants at Maine Road. Cos the same thing didn't happen there for sell outs. Are they all glory hunters?

Anyway, I can't imagine this being the case. I can't get my head around that sort of attitude in the quantity that it would need to be occurring to justify the empties.

every seat is always sold out in the family stand but i don,t know if people are aware that, after all the crowd trouble before, during and after the first home game with swansea a large number of our fans in the family stand we,re served with banning orders,i think it was the under 5,s.

it seemed to have a few empty seats in the first half but seemed full in the second half???

this family stand was a fucking awful idea. change it back next season.

and there were a few blokes in 116 that clearly had just walked round.

This is my first posting. I got loads of stick yesterday by my son who is a rag about the large number of empty seats in north stand. It reflects poorly on City support. I am from N Ireland and all my friends are either Liverpool or Utd supporters and all they ever talk about is the empty seats at City. They never believe we ever sell-out the ground. I was at the Bayern game and there were empty seats in North stand. Any reason?

If so they should have their season cards taken off them. They payed for a ticket in the north stand and only paid £95.00 for the pleasure of taking their child. It's no different to buying a seasoncard in the north stand where it is cheaper and sitting in the colin bell stand every game. Scrotes.
