just like it has sweet FA to do with anyone what he does with the purchase he has made too
Fair enough but how would you react if I said I was going to buy a ticket for Chelsea away but not go and deny another Blue the opportunity? The tickets are half price and I've got enough points but the game's 200 miles away so I can't be arsed. Don't think you'd express the same opinion then
It's up to you, it's your money to waste and no-one else's.
Personally I think you'd be mad to throw away £30 but I still believe it should be your choice.

The difference with a seasoncard is that the owner is buying their seat and will be using it when they see fit, unlike buying a ticket and deliberately not going.

My mate is currently working abroad but has kept his season ticket on as he doesn't want to lose his seat and go to the back of the queue when he returns to Blighty. He gets over for some games, goes to the European games which he couldn't do if he had no seasoncard.

As a good mate of his, couldn't you sell his season card for games he doesn't get to!

And then have the responsibility to
A) put it up for sale on here
B) meet the person in question and hand over the card
C) ensure this person isn't a knob head and misbehaves in the ground
D) collect card at end of game
E) transfer money to mate

You can fuck that as I want to be in town having a drink till as late as possible then get a taxi to the ground and then scoot back into town for a celebratory pint later, so my mate can just piss right off.

PS he passes it on to family members when he's not there

You make it sound like keyhole surgery Squirty! Anyway if your mate is passing on the ticket to friends and family, there isn't an issue.

Also, we have to risk sitting next to complete cocks when people sell their ticket on Vianogo. The season card holder next me in 206 couldn't make it on NY Day and presumably nobody was willing to pay his Vianogo asking price. I watched the game in 305 and let my brother have my regular seat!

It has already been said more than once but some don't seem to be getting it. It is very, very unlikely that there are a significant number of season ticket holders who don't turn up on a regular basis. The empty seats are obviously mainly tickets unsold for whatever reason. The fact that they are all together at the front of the north stand is a clear indication that they are simply not sold. Obviously there are a few who buy a season ticket and don't go to that many games but we are talking about a few not any significant number.

A better question is why there are unsold tickets. If it is the cost then that is your answer.

You don't get it mate!

There are a range of contributory factors that many Blues have highlighted. It's much wider than the one issue you have chosen to select!
The club have sold 99 percent of available tickets as per the club accounts.!

the Sunderland game may have been a bit of a one off with regards to the amount of empty seats, the weather was blowing rain into the NS so a few must have shifted elsewhere and there were loads on the concourse during the game, but the unsold sections of seats could be identified, the question is unsold by who its not the club because they have no tickets so who own's these seats on behalf of the club, this is the 3rd party we must dump

was it city fans in the away section, above the sunderland fans,?odd that the club would sell these before any available seats in the rest of the ground if so

I'm just going to throw this in the ring as it's something I've wondered for a while and I'd like someone to tell me if this is correct?

Underneath the North/Family Stand it's been mentioned to me that the stuff for kids such as Play Stations etc are available. Having never sat in this stand is this true or not?

We usually miss about three to four games a year due to holidays.
I've never used Viagogo. I've tried to pass them on before but apart from one occasion last year was the first time I've managed to pass them on for a couple of games because it was Liverpool and then Palace over Christmas.
I couldn't get rid of the ones for Stoke in February so my seat was empty whilst listening to a scratcy radio driving back to the UK.

Over the last ten years I've regularly had to let our five seats to empty over Christmas/New Year including cup games we pay for but can't attend.
@ Tim
If I let someone have my ticket and the knob en has a smoke, I'm the one who is banned
If Viagogo resell the ticket to a knob who breaks the rules it would be the club's fault

Good post Marco. The weather was atrocious and it is also very unusual to have three home games in a week that spreads ticket demand.

I also think a few Blues have got lazy seeking tickets on Vianogo and caught a cold when there were 400 tickets for sal on there for the Sunderland game.

In the short term I would like to see one or two quick fixes including moving the free tickets that go to the Academy and Women's teams to the upper tier or spread out around the ground!
