End of Barca era

Barca and Madrid are still the two best teams in the world right now, no team is going to win everything forever, even the best lose games.

but losing the way they did today and at weekend

both games at home........

for me it could be over for pep.

They would NEVER sack Guardiola.

Infact it's Guardiola that himself would leave if he thinks it would be best and I do think that he might do that. He's won everything and put them on a level that they've never been before.

He's come up with new ideas and switched things around when needed 3-4-3 / 3-3-4 etc.

It is a job that comes with alot of pressure and after being in it for a while he may decide to take a break. Like I said though, they won't sack him, they've been practically begging him to sign a new contract for however long now.

The daftest thread I have ever seen and some agree with the OP ycmiu.

Some people's memories only go back a week.

I'm chuffed for Chelsea but they got battered again by Barca but footy is designed that occasionally the better team loses and that even happens to Barca.

"No plan B".....FFS.

and statistically Barcelona were at their highest point ever on 16th April this year.

Btw the part about no plan B for Barca is true ... Pep's solution is always MORE WINGERS.
I wouldn't agree with people saying their time at the top is finished though, expect them to come back strongly next season

Worst Barca team since 2007/2008. They're still very good, but they've dropped off a bit. They still keep the ball, but they just don't seem as ruthless/clinical as they were.

They've missed Villa. And, to be honest, I think Pep has messed too much with the team. What's this 1 at the back nonsense? They were near unbeatable when they played 4-3-3... I think (crazy as it sounds) that he's trying to accommodate too many great players, and in the process, he's not sure what his best XI is anymore -- or at least, his best formation.

Missed David Villa? Are you serious? He's been really poor.

I don't know why I fall for it. It's the same people that want Mancini out if we lose one game. Memories of a goldfish.

Agreed, I too think Guardiola has maybe taken it a step too far with the way he has the team line up. I don't understand why Pedro was not playing instead of Cuenca, and Iniesta is sooo much better at CM with Xavi than he is on the left wing.

Like you said though, Villa was missed, their only true out and out striker.
Another big loss who people haven't considered is Abidal, he is one of their best defenders, his height pace and strength was missed.

They need to make a couple of signings in the summer just to add that squad depth to the other areas besides the midfield.

I think maybe just maybe he may call it a day and take a break, and let someone else come in and freshen things up, I think that would be his decision though, still don't believe they would sack him.

I watch every single televised La Liga game. Yes, they have missed Villa massively.
