End of Season Party vs Arsenal?!

Souness said earlier that if there had been a performance like that by a top team abroad, the players would be getting all manner of shit from the fans, wherever they went, in person, & they would make their lives a misery for the next week.

He diplomatically neglected to mention how the manager would be 'welcomed' when he arrived back in town.

We had a chance to go 7 points clear of the rags today and put the pressure on them to win their game in hand but also go back above the arse and that should have been our focus! To not even have de Bruyne in the bench was also a shambles

So we had a chance to cement our place in the top 4 to play in the Champs Lg next season at the risk of making it much harder to win it this year...when we have a chance of winning it now. I struggle to follow your logic.

One game at a time and winning breeds confidence. To be honest I think we'll get humped by real (really hope I'm wrong though!) and today's result will be even worse!

We may get humped-they are formidable opposition and we may yet fall between two stools. But I believe he made the right call today. The players let him down.

I'm utterly amazed by the notion that 'we all expected that team'.

I didn't. I didn't expect a full team for 90 mins but I expected all to take some part in it. Imo it was the most important league game of the season.

Someone asked the question why Aguero was on the bench if the manager had no intention of using him.

Simple. If he had been left out along with DeBruyne then everyone would have known for sure that Pellegrini was throwing the game. Having him on the bench gave the impression he was ready to use him if things were going wrong & actually gave a shit.

That's very commendable of you Mike N,you must be (Old School),like I am,apologies if your not 40 plus, but inside you must be hurting, and thinking thank God there is a change happening in the summer...............

Yep I'm 50 years young and remember the bad old days, *shudders*. Thanks MP but roll on the new season.

Not for the first time! His big mistake today was playing Kolorov after that shambles of a performance at Newcastle. I'd rather anyone have played there than him. He is the worst defender at the club and one of the worst in the league.

Were you happy with today's performance, particularly having travelled all that way to watch it?
How can one be happy with the performance?
However my point was, and still is, its not the end of the world, something really big could still happen and some posters should tighten their piss flaps and stop being molluscs.
