End of Season Party vs Arsenal?!

Can count me out of this. The charming mug has taken us backwards.

Flying out to Madrid tomorrow and this doesn't set us off with encouragement for Wednesday. Hopefully we put up a scrap at the least, and don't make mugs of ourselves.

How can one be happy with the performance?
However my point was, and still is, its not the end of the world, something really big could still happen and some posters should tighten their piss flaps and stop being molluscs.
It's not the end of the world in itself and the Saints are a much better team than they're given credit for.

But we've only got three more games to play over 2 weeks, maybe a fourth 2 weeks later, and we could just as easily miss out on both fronts. We really shouldn't be taking any chances and cementing top four has to be our main priority, with the CL a bonus.

I agree PB, and we are in danger of squandering the chance to qualify next season.

You're right, given our chances of actually winning the CL are quite slim.

But I'm sure it'd look better for Manuel's CV to have taken us to our first CL final, and finish 5th, than to finish 4th and go out in the semis.

The club's interests and Manuel's don't perfectly align at the moment and he's looking after himself now, IMO. It's the same reason he's been playing inept shite like Bony ahead of a stunning young talent like Kelechi almost all season, in spite of the fact that the former has no future at the club while the latter does.

Just a couple of the reasons I won't be joining in any farewell 'party' against Arsenal.

Well it's up to the club to make sure the club's interests are looked after. The CEO and DoF should be insisting we play our best team for every game, as far as possible. Their abrogation of their duties has been shameful.

Can't agree with that.

They back him or sack him imo. Quite rightly they don't interfere with first team selection & tactical matters.
