How the fuck can you sit there and say that he hasn't had the chance to build anything when over £200 million has been spent under his reign. He's not exactly been backed like Remi Garde was at Villa has he?
If the manager has seen his arse about being a stop gap when he knew from day one what was happening then he shouldn't have took the job in the first place. He knew the score and any amount of saying that he has been hard done by is just papering over the cracks. For two seasons our domestic form has not been good enough.
The players have been poor this season. There is no doubt about it. But a lot of them have been let down by the managers tactics and that is the reason why we have been collectively shit domestically. Playing Delph left wing, Demichellis in a high line, Yaya or Fernando in a 2 man midfield and asking Bony to do the same job as Kun are all examples of how the players have been let down.
It's patently obvious that Yaya's legs have gone. It's not a matter of him not trying, it's that he physically cannot do what he could 2 years ago. Demichellis is the same. But not once this season has any adaptions to the squad been made for them.
Nothing about my criticisms of Pellegrini are knee jerk. It's based on us repeating the same mistakes over and over again and getting outplayed on numerous occasions by average sides.
All the signings haven't been for a pellegrini team, that is painfully obvious to anyone that understands football
