End of Season Party vs Arsenal?!

With parts of it yes. Difference was we had no winning mentality with Hughes, but he did lay foundations for sure.

So every manager lays foundations for the next one? Why then are we particularly trying to downplay the trophies Pellegrini has won as being those that belong to the previous manager? Seems exactly the kind of nonsense that you'd expect from BT Sport or Sky (along with constantly going on about the money we've spent - and using it as a stick to beat the manager/board with).

The same will happen under Pep.

Bayern supporters don't rate Pep much at the moment and most of their complaints seem to concentrate around the defensive stability or lack of it of their side. There's something in that, particularly if you look at Pep's record in CL knock out ties.

Well you're splitting hairs now. And then agreeing with me to boot. Both hit a glass ceiling and both will be moved on. Simple stuff really. I don't understand the angst about our short or long term future.

Here's another contradiction whilst i'm at it. Most people on here are complaining we won't finish in the top 4, and yet most of those same people are saying they don't care about winning the CL if we fail in the league. In which case, who gives a shit if we have CL football next season. If we don't it'll make the title challenge even easier.

To be fair that's quite a good point and I can only assume that people would be more annoyed at missing out on what the CL offers, i.e potential transfers, than the competition itself.

From my viewpoint, it's not about the CL it is more to do with performances but I've gone over that numerous times. Qualifying for the Europa could have its benefits though.

Can't believe anybody is comparing Mancini's achievements at City to Pelligrini. Pelligrini's only major trophy so far is was with his predecessors team.

I'm no fan of Pellegrini but his 2 League Cups count as major trophies whatever Soriano may think.

I am hoping you think pep is the worst manager in the whole wide world then I can be extremely confident he will do a great job.

I guess with some it is the fact that with Pellers there has never really been any true relationship with the fans

We have won trophies with both managers and I have said constantly that the board should take a lot of responsibility for this including some poor signings. If we don't get top four and we get knocked out in Madrid, would love to be a fly on the wall with their next meeting with Pep. I think the manager issue has and is an issue on here and within the fan base. The way Mancini was treated on here by some was absolutely shocking, and as soon as the tables are turned on Pellers many don't like it. History gets rewritten but won't go into that now. Now I have already seen comments on here by some Pellers fans already now questioning Pep, this manager situation is not going to end unless we all get behind Pep as fans no matter what happens. The hypocrisy on here though is staggering.
