At £20m, Liverpool paid 10x what Henderson was worth. Makes Veron and Shevchenko look like masterstrokes.

Lescott was never gonna be a starter once Terry was picked in the squad. Terry likes to play as the left sided centre half next to Cole and is uncomfortable on the right.

I think that if Terry misses a game through injury/suspension or has a shocker then Cahill will be out with him too and the Lescott-Jagielka partnership will take over from that point on. Both pairings should get a half each against Belgium and the most impressive should start but we know how things work.

the reason micah declined to go on standby for england

besides micah not wanting to play second fiddle, according to darren lewis on talkshite just now woy didn't even call micah to speak to him about it. he got pearce to ask him.

apart from anyone who thinks glen johnson and phil jones are better right backs than micah needing to give their head a wobble, the more i see and hear of hodgson the more i'm beginning to think he's a clueless ****.

Well on a personal note I am glad he hasn't gone, probably would have got injured, maybe subjected to racial abuse better for him to stop at home and watch it on the telly and when Johnson or NDE fuck it up we can all be smug and tell woy he got it wrong. As long as Micah is up and running for start of next season I couldn't give a monkeys toss about England.
