INGERLAND chants make me cringe! After the celtic friendly a couple os seasons ago, there were a group of dicks doing it outside mary d(ires).

There were also a few pricks at it the day we played aris, i went to work afterwards (manchester piccadilly) and there was a group of arseholes there giving it the old INGERLAND.

It's not big and it's not clever. Save it for your next EDL meet.

so being a patriot makes you a member of the edl?

Why choose this particular match to show how patriotic you are?

So shouting INGERLAND at fans of another football club that happens to come from wales, is being a patriot?

*shakes head*

Point i was trying to make earlier. It seems glen that it is ok to incite hatred, whether people think its racial or not when it comes to football, but you aren't allowed to play devils advocate.

Who is inciting hatred for fucks sake?

Untwist your knickers you fool.

It's a bit of harmless fun, get over it.

Our first league match of the season and some of you seem more concerned with winding up the away fans than getting behind the team. I shouldn't be surprised any more but I am!

Tonight is about helping the team to 3 points, it's about MCFC - not England, Wales or any other fucking country. Bring whatever flags you like but keep the "Ingerland" chants to a minimum and sing about City, please.
Well said.

I'm bringing an England flag to this match not cos I hate Swansea or Wales but I'm bringing it for the banter with the Swansea fans, I'm sure they'll bring a few Welsh flags.

Im quite confused by your post but thats obviously because im a racist bigot for going to England games and using that chant

You've inadvertantly hit the nail on the head there Boy. Tonights game isn't a fuckin England game, it's a City game. Save the Nationalist bullshit for England games.

Quite true as im sure the Swansea fans wont be too interested in singing whatever there national anthem is in there return to the top flight. I dont see why a bit of banter on the Wales/England front isnt just that though, a bit of banter doesnt make you a follower of the EDl or vice versa whatever the welsh equivalant is

England flage would be a bit of banter thats it. Who believes there will not be any Welsh dragons knocking about in the away end?

Generally, in my experience, the Welsh seem to have a problem with English people, dont know why. Was it these lot and Cardiff at Wembley who refused to sing the UK national anthem?

so fuk em i say
Yet these two teams and their fans want to be part of the English Premier and football league when they have their own league.

Swansea are a premier league team. Get over your small minded and Nationalistic attitude and just enjoy the football.
We're not the ones with a chip on our shoulder matey. Yes its only a football match but its no different to disliking them as it is with that shower in Trafford. Yes English and proud and yes City and proud, so get your flags out and fill the stadium.

But lets bring an England flag cos we are playing a team from Wales. And a 17 page thread would indicate that some on here dont just have a chip, but a portion of the fuckers on their shoulders.

So fucking glad i dont do night games, especially with this fascist shite going on.

Nothing like a bit of over reacting is there?

I am Welsh and do not have any sort of chip on my shoulder. I am proud of being Welsh. Being Welsh does not mean you automatically hate the English. Not one Welsh person on here has had a problem with the English flags being flown so why all the hostility. The shouldn't be in our league has been done to death, I could understand if it had happened recently but come on we were invited decades ago. As far as not singing the anthem, it isn't our anthem so why would we. The English have every right to be as proud of their identity as the Welsh I think that's great. There will always seem to be people with extreme views and unfortunately they always seem to be heard the loudest but I think the majority of Welsh people just see it as banter. I would like to think if the flags are there they would be there as banter and not this you shouldn't be in our league crap. Anyway I just hope everyone enjoys the game, our first of the season and Swansea's first in the premier league has the makings of a great night let's not spoil it with silly outdated views from either side.

P.S. I am convinced the English secretly enjoy being the big bad wolf that everyone wants to beat, go on admit it ;)
