There is a serious lack of quality...especially at centre half

who are we looking at?

Cahill, Jagielka, Stones, Dawson, Jones, Smalling, Williamson, Shawcross, Dann, Tomkins, Davies, Chester, Baker, Turner, Caulker, Brown

a real lack of leaders is what stands out to me most in this list...

Has somebody mentioned Dann ? I thought Dann was Scottish or have I missed something ?

About as Scottish as the Conservative Party.

Yep only Cahill stands out for me on that list...I'd be tempted to take Lescott despite him hardly playing this season and his inability to pass a ball. Defensively he is decent and adds a bit of experience.

I'm not from England, nor do I support them, however I believe England's best XI based on current form is...

Hart; Baines Cahill Jagielka Johnson; Sterling Gerrard Henderson Sterling; Rooney Sturridge

Dominated by Liverpool, however they're the players doing the business so provide England the best chance.

Has Hodgson managed to clone Sterling?

--------------------hart----------------
johnson--cahill--lescott--baines
-------gerrard-------milner--------
----------------llalana-----------------
sturridge----rooney----sterling

----------------------Hart
Johnson--Stones--Cahill--Shaw
-------------------Gerrard
-----------Lallana-----Henderson
--Rooney----Sturridge---Sterling

Basically take the Liverpool attack, and replace Coutinho with Lallana, and Suarez with Rooney.

Only problem is Hodgson won' t emulate Liverpool's style which will probably make it boring as fuck. But that's still our best chance imo.

And give Stones and Shaw experience at a world cup imo. Maybe Jagielka or Lescott to start the more important matches though.

More important matches, really? What like every one of the three group games you mean?
