would of thought would be ideal for some new faces

I had the same thought.

Never a better time to blood some promising U21 stars.

Got to feel for Bent and Defoe (maybe Spuds said no due to hand injury, but he was on bench yesterday). Both of them scoring for fun, already qualified so should be their chance to impress.

How can Crouch and Heskey be picked ahead of Bent at the mo?? Mind you a poor Heskey and Crouch make Shrek look much better than he is, anyone would look world class next to them.

Ooo I forgot..... we must build the national team around "team" Beckham and Shrek, for marketing purposes.

Nevermind team beckham how in the blue hell does Wes Brown continue to get in that team he cant even get in the scums defence but he can get in the england squad. Michael Turner would have been a great shout
