AJ did an interview on 5live last night. The reporter said that Cappello interupted the interview by grabbing AJ by the arm and shouting "Penalty" and they all cracked up laughing. To me that says he's made an impression.

Well if this is true,it's a good sign,as you rightly point out,he's obviously made an impression on Capello, just seems like all the press are bigging him up along with various pundits so he must have done some good work in the training camp.

someone like tom huddlestone should be nowhere near any england team.

theo walcott will become the john barnes of this generation for england. i.e gaining shitloads of caps, playing shit every time whilst living off 1 great england moment.

I think Johnson is already in Capello's 23 to be honest, reading various articles over the last few days in the dailys and it sounds like Johnson has been shining in training,to play Walcott on the left is a bit suprising and i think it's his last throw of the dice.If Lennon or Walcott go at the expense of Johnson i will be both amazed and disgusted in equal measure!

I like to think yer right but how much has FC seen Adam J over the half season he has been playing in the EPL. To shoe in a player who has only six mins of playing time under his belt doesn't smack too much of thorough preparation for which Capello is well-known.

Perhaps he's been reading this forum and has taken our word for how good Johnson is.

johnson will not be going, dont kid yourselves....

I think he will. He's certainly leaps and bounds beyond Stewart Downing and more exciting than Milner or J. Cole. That being said; playing Walcott on the left and not playing any of the four above seems absurd to me.

Really don't rate Theo Walcott, don't think he should go.

That's why it's a good thing he's playing, the more games he plays crap in the less chance he has of going?

I agree with this sentiment. He should not go and neither should Heskey, I can't believe he is in the squad.

I can't believe Heskey is a footballer.
