No, I didn't mean it like that!

They are playing really well - as a team, but I have just noticed they are very much a team with no prima donnas and none of the 'Hello Magazine' type stuff that we used to get with Beckham and the Wives and Girlfriends and all of that. It was just an observation, not a criticism - P.S. Good Luck tonight, to England.

Because you aren't the England manager who trains with the team every day, and can see what, or who is needed? As has been stated already, it has worked flawlessly so far.

There are often clips and snippets of Southgate with his arm round Foden in training. Constantly talking and smiling. Foden certainly doesn't cut the figure who is being treated badly. not just the treatment of foden but the attacking midfield he has on his plate and plays route one football
for me i lost all the love for england years ago and would love nothing more than all city players not playing
southgate plays championship football and does not know how to handle foden and the others

yes there is many way to win at football ? but at the top of the tree you think if you had the players england have on offer you play to there strengths and attack and get the fans of there feet

If that was the case, why start him in the first two games ? I’d love too see him play but time is on his side

I think this is a bit over the top (especially the part about retiring - He isn't Jude Bellingham!)

There are some strange reasons why Foden has not played much so far after that great start - remember him hitting the post early in the 1st game - it seems so long ago now.

It was all to do with his yellow card and also the Chillwell/Mount/Gilmour Covid thing. I believe that once they had to isolate, Foden had to be held back. Now, hopefully, he is fully fresh and tonight and on Sunday he will become the megastar we all know he can be, for England and for City.
 
Imagine watching Foden over the last 18 months and coming on here to claim he’s not a special case and doesn’t deserves a place over Sancho, Saka and the rest.
Cool, England have progressed without him but to say it’s the right decision to leave him in the wilderness is a bit odd.
Anyway, good luck to Sterling, Stones and Walker. Hope they continue to impress.
