This forum does not reflect the country right now. Posters on here who dislike England no matter what and seem incapable of not talking about rags’, the media or some kind of city agenda

There is always an anti national side set of fans at every club. On here though the last few days it seems because Foden isn’t starting. The fact we have progressed so far goes lost, and the hate over takes it. Im not sure why they bother posting to be fair. If they’re not arsed about the national side, or calling bias at each turn, must be in their interests to go and read the politics forum where they can have a proper moan.

It is a contact sport, but it depends on what kind of contact, I've not seen it in normal time, but when you're running at speed and get clipped, and Raheem gets clipped twice, it really doesn't take much.

I agree and whod be a referee!!?

the more we watched it in the pub the more we were trying to convince ourselves that the contact was there and im just not sure

That's unfair. He brought Grealish on to help break the defence and then, job done, added a defender to hold the lead. Straightforward decision, not nasty.

Grealish and any other player does as he is told.

This is a team game and not for glory hunter players, Southgate went up in my respect with the decision, again he got the result, end of story.

This. Quite remarkable to see so many upset by it. Lampards goal against Germany still irks me. Sometimes decisions go against you and it's probably the first one that has gone out way in a long time.

I am an England fan, and pleased that England have got through to a final, for the second time in my life.

I am a Sterling fan, and always have been. He has been England's best player, on balance, through the tournament.

England were the better team over the whole match. They deserved to win it, although in football, to quote Clint Eastwood, deserve (often) has nothing to do with it (see Spain vs Italy).

Now. That was no penalty. It's a separate issue, but I can see no contact, however many times I play it.

Anyway, on to Italy. They will be a different kettle of fish.
