The highlight of that game was the French letting and almost encouraging (no French defender bothered to close him down) Fatty to put in all those hopeless crosses from the left. Fucking comedy gold.

Being in control of possesion is only relevant if you utilise that possesion well. Although Mbappe was kept quiet, France still scored two goals from open play. As such, they were the better team and deserved to progress to the semis.

On the bright side then, not Walkers fault ;-)

I thought The game needed Phil Foden in central midfield. He is the most exciting player in years for England.
Saka did well second half but in the first he was cramped by having Henderson as his shadow.
Kyle was brilliant.
The subs were baffling as was the apparent refusal to change anything.
As I previously stated - small margins.

I like, Foden first half was buggered up by Shaw or Bellingham getting in the way or high balls off Maguire. Last 10 mins of the first half Phil goes walkabout and the pace picks up.
Second half Phil and Saka on it and get subbed.

If we had a manager like Deschamps in our dug out we would have won this World Cup , he is a proven winner as a player and manager , Waistcoat isnt fit to lace his boots and despite the fact that our squad was stronger than France due to their injuries the F.A. yesman still managed to lead us to glorified defeat.
The problem is Waistcoat will not walk and the F.A are quite happy to have a safe , predicatable manager they can manipulate , so the next euro's and world cup will be rinse and repeat.
A sign of madness is doing the same thing time after time and expecting a different outcome and the doddering old tw*ts at the F.A. are as mad as a box of frogs.

I'm not sure how you come to that conclusion. We were the better side. Fine margins and they went the way of the French. Both managers had nothing to do with that. The only thing Southgate could have done was make a change at 1-1 to try and force things, but we were dominant and didn't really need to. When he did make a change, bringing Mount on he instantly wins a pen and gives us the chance to get back into it again. This one is on the players. Pep is a proven winner but sometimes he makes the wrong call with team selection and sometimes the players just don't perform or you don't get the rub of the green. That's football.
