England v Hungary | Nations League | Tues 14th June '22

Nice if hungary got sone credit for doing a number on England as all were getting is England are tired and weren’t at the races . How about if that you he Hungarians have got a very good young team coming through and deservedly beat them over 2 games . Them presenters are a joke .
Hungary weren't even that good though. Keeper was awful for the first two goals, I didn't see the last two but a half decent keeper should have saved those.

We will literally be having the same manager and squad that done us proud last World Cup campaign- likes of Rice, Foden, Phillips, Saka etc will have even more experience this time round

If you really think these nations league results will reflect the same way in a serious competition then that’s either delusion or sadly Hope with some of our fans
Rice and Phillips are part of a problem England have.

I don’t say that disrespectfully, they’re triers and I can’t knock that but no real quality needed at the highest level. To get over the line and start winning things, you need players that can control that midfield with quality, not just effort

Glorified friendly where half the players understandably couldn't be arsed. I don't rate Southgate but it would be unfair to use this against him.

First yellow - goes up for a header, elbow hits the guy's head. No malice in it, lookng at the ball, one of those ones where he's moving his arms as he jumps to help get the height he needs, and it's an unfortunate collision, it does look like there's significant contact. Seen them given as yellows, seen them not. Wouldn't be too surprised either way.

Second yellow - ball gets hit towards James, Stones slows down nearby as James gets it under control, Hungary player runs into the back of him, his shoulder/side of his face colliding with Stones' arm. Guy goes down holding his face, Stones looks confused. Absolutely never a yellow.
It was a ridiculous decision.

Yes, we could have won the Euros but you could see the players were knackered. Italy were there for the taking though, but they put fresh players on, we didn't. It was obvious Southgate was playing for penalties.

In the semis of the World cup we were knocked out with a country with the population not much bigger than that of Greater Manchester.

We've rode our luck with the winning run and played some poor teams. It's always been obvious that if we play against a decent side that's on form we've got no chance. In fact they don't even need to be a decent side.

Had we won the penalty’s do you really think we’d be questioning tiredness, substitutions and tactics? We lost on a lucky dip shoot out after making our first final tournament final in 55 years
We was brilliant throughout
