For me, it’s because he’s been shite for 18 months if not longer. Don’t put me in the haters bracket because I certainly wasn’t one when he was here. But he’s been shite mate. Same with Maguire, doesn’t deserve a start imo.What is it that makes people lose their senses when it comes to Sterling?
There is not a single national team in the world where a player with 30 goals and assists in their last 30 international games would get dropped, let alone a player who absolutely carried his team through the first half of the last itnernational tournament a year ago.
Is it because people have decided it's Sterling vs. Foden? Is it because some people are still bitter he chose to leave? or is it just the same run of the mill stupidity we had for 7 years when he was here?

He was playing well in first couple if games then the useless twat took him off after an hour then pretty much left him out after that !Can’t remember how many games did foden start in the euros?
Foden has never been given a proper run in the England team and never will while Southgate has his little favourites.
Phil Foden has played in the last 10 England games he was fit for, and 16 of the last 18 he was fit for starting 13 of them.
In fact the only time Foden has been fit to play for England and not played since 2020 was in the last 2 games of Euro 2020 when he lost his place because of injury but got fit enough to be on the bench.

30 goals and assists in 30 games for England includes games in the last 18 months, as does his team of the tournament performance in Euro 2020

They persevere with them even if it’s not quit happening because it will, and their class will shine. Mbappe was garbage at the euros last year, completely underwhelming, do you think they would drop him?
