England V Italy, Quarter Final 2012 (merged)

I feel sorry for any one of you if you're upset about this but playing like West Bromwich Albion in the hopes that you might sneak a victory via a penalty shoot out is ridiculous. England need a rethink. Stop pretending Shrek is world class; stop playing rag players like Young, just because they're rags and please do something about Wooney's hair. Nothing good will happen until all this is done. Also, stop singing God Save the Queen and Rule Britannia, both of which are British anthems, not English ones, and replace them with "Jerusalem" or at least something that isn't a monarchist, jingoistic dirge.

I think he set it up in the best way he could. We're crying out for someone to control a game but we just don't have one. The quality of available players just isn't there.

Who do we have to run a game like Pirlo, Silva, Ozil, Modric?

I'll answer for you...... Nobody!!!

I cannot give you one name of an English player in this mould. Frightening

What about Downing & Henderson? Or Scotty P?

What might save English Football is that Centre at Burton. We need to rewrite the FA's Coaching Manual though.

No - what might save it is our new academy

We will get fook all credit for it though

Lot of pressure on us, our Academy coaches might still follow the outdated coaching manual that the FA still use.

Wilshire is the only one who even comes close.

No mark gutless performance , the Busby babe 3 anonymous, shocking.

I thought Welbeck played well, certainly compared to the other two. The decision to take him off instead of Rooney was a poor one, it was already perfectly clear by that point that Rooney was having one of 'those' nights and there was no coming back into the game for him. Not saying Welbeck was fantastic but he certainly showed a lot more spark than Rooney and can feel aggrieved he was taken off.
Your having a laugh, not one shot on target, like watching them cunts at ours.
